Tiny Seahorse Appliqué

Materials: Knit-Cro-Sheen in the color of your choice; # 7 steel crochet hook.
Row 1: Ch 3, 1 dc in 3rd ch from the hook. (2 dc)
Rows 2 - 7: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in the next dc. (2 dc)
Row 8: Ch3, turn, 1 dc in the same dc as ch 3, 2 dc in the next dc. (4 dc)
Row 9 - 10: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc. (4 dc)
Row 11: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the last dc. (5 dc)
Row 12 - 13: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc. (5 dc)
Row 14: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in the same dc as ch 3, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc. (6 dc)
Row 15: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc. (6 dc)
Row 16: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc dec’s over the next 4 dc’s, 1 dc in the last dc.
Row 17: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc dec over the next 2 dc’s, 1 dc in the last dc.
Row 18: Ch 7, turn, 1 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch’s, (work over last row now...”1dc, ch 3, sl st in the top of the dc—1 dc, ch 3, sl st in the top of the dc in the next dc”(two dc and two ch 3 loops); 3 dc in the next dc—ch 3, sl st in the top of the dc). Working over the edge of the dc’s down the side now—1 hdc, 1 sc over the edge of the next dc; 1 sc - ch 3 - 1 sc in over the next edge of dc (5 times); 2 sc over the edge of the next dc; sl st over the edge of the next dc. Break off and weave in the ends.
